What Is Sealcoating?
Chip seal is a pavement surface treatment that combines a layer of liquid asphalt with a layer of small aggregate (chips or stones). The asphalt acts as a binding agent, while the stones create a textured, protective surface. After applying the asphalt and spreading the stones, a roller presses the materials firmly into place.
